Title: “The Justifiability of Nativism in Response to Modernization and Foreign Influence in the 1920s”

Historians have labeled the 20’s as “the first modern decade” because of all the changes. Many Americans were not happy about those changes and reacted in variety of ways to oppose them. Make an historical argument in response to this statement:
“’Nativism’ was a justifiable reaction to the threat to traditional American culture from modern ideas and foreigners!”  Agree? Disagree?
Your first sentence should be: “I agree (disagree) that Nativism was a justifiable reaction to the threat to traditional American culture from modern ideas and foreigners for the following reasons…”
