William blake English poet and artists, was born in london. His father, james blake was a hosier. The family consisted of four sons and and daughter. William was the second son, the only one to achieve distinction. William bean his artistic learning sat on early age. His father encouraged him and sent him to Mr. Pars’ drawing school. His creative faculty found it’s outlet in these early years, in poetry. Some of his poems have survived in a thin volume of poetical sketches painted for blake by his friends in 1783. In his poems, blake tells us that we needed two qualities in order to see the truth in the world: innocence, and experience. His position in the history of the art of this country, England, is peculiar owing to his a double achievement as a poet and as a painter. He died on August 12, 1827
