For this section of your research proposal assignment, you will focus on the sampling, reliability, and validity of your research proposal. This section will include information on sampling, reliability, and validity.

The following components should be addressed in your paper this week:

Information on your sample

·        Sampling basic information (age, gender, criteria, etc.)

·        Sample size

·        Explain why your sample is appropriate for your study

Reliability

·        Explain how your data collection process is consistent and reliable

·        Explain why your measurement tool is reliable

Validity

·        Explain how you will ensure you have a valid sample

·        Explain how you tested the validity of your measurement tool

APA formatting, references, and citations are required.

Your research project design should be included as part of your final submission for your research proposal project in week 7 and your research proposal presentation in week 8. Use the feedback you receive from your instructor on your design to modify and improve before submission of your final project in weeks 7 and 8.

you will develop and deliver a 10–15 minute seminar/workshop aimed at the teen or young adult audience on a specific health risk associated with the population. You will submit your presentation using the Panopto recording tool.

* If you predominantly work with a specific population and would like to present a relevant health risk seminar to that population, you must seek instructor approval in advance. Email your instructor through the Virtual Office.

1.     Choose a health risk associated with adolescence. Some categories to consider may include:

·        Suicide

·        Pregnancy

·        Substance use and abuse

·        Motor vehicle crashes

·        Tobacco use

·        Sexually transmitted disease

·        Domestic violence

·        Mental health issues

·        Eating disorders

·        Nutrition and fitness

2.     As the health care advocate, you will present the following to the target audience (adolescents or young adults)in 10-15 slides or screens:

·        An overview of the risk factor

·        Contributing factors

·        Prevalence of the health risk (meaningful data)

·        Explain your role with the issue as a health care practitioner/advocate

·        Ways to identify a problem and address the issue

·        Present an activity or project or exercise for the audience to engage in related to the topic

·        Help and support resources

3.     In your research materials, incorporate 3–4 current sources with one containing the most current statistics.

4.     Use age-appropriate creativity to ensure the message gets across to the selected audience. As you plan your seminar, consider:

·        How will you initiate a conversation (rather than give a lecture)?

·        How will you keep the attention and respect of this audience?

5.     Use APA for citing and referencing your sources.

6.     Keep your design and audio appropriate to the audience, yet professional. Your presentation must include both audio and visual components and be professional in nature.

Rewatch the same Patient Interview. This time, you will focus on writing the diagnosis and differential discussion. The discussion should include the following sections: 

A summary of findings

Psychodynamic formulation

Primary diagnosis with ICD code

Prognosis

Plan including medications, labs, therapy, patient education, follow up, non-pharmacological treatments

Rewatch the same Patient Interview. You will now write the mental status exam portion of the psychiatric report. The mental status exam can be written in bulleted or narrative format, but should include the following sections:  

·        Appearance – personal identification, behavior, psychomotor activity, general description 

·        Speech 

·        Mood and affect 

·        Thinking and perception – form of thinking, content of thinking, thought disturbances, perceptual disturbances 

·        Sensorium – alertness, orientation, memory, concentration, fund of knowledge, abstract thinking 

·        Insight

For your signature assignment you will create a short 3 to 5-minute patient education video. The video is intended to be a teaching tool that you could use for a patient and family who is newly diagnosed with a psychiatric illness.

Select one of the following diagnoses covered this term: Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Attention Deficit/ Hyperactivity Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Eating disorder.

Create a patient education video using an innovative platform such as Biteable, Animaker, Canva, or other video creation tool. The video should include:

·        A description of the diagnosis and common symptoms using lay terms

·        A holistic treatment plan that includes: One medication, one specific therapy, and one evidenced based non-pharmacologic treatment that are used for this diagnosis. Briefly explain how each will help the patient.

·        Appropriate resources for patients to get further information and/ or support

·        The last slide should include your references

Systems Modelling and Simulation Assignment 2023-24

Each year, the assignment for the Systems Modelling and Simulation module adopts a unique theme. In past years, these assignments have encompassed themes like manufacturing, banking services, airports, and logistics. This year, we delve into the realm of healthcare. This diversity allows you to grasp how this foundational subject can be effectively employed to address various issues, all of which essentially share common performance indicators. Embrace the challenge of this year’s assignment!
A clinical centre in a war-torn country in a remote area receives patients with various conditions. The clinic works 24 hours a day and admits two types of patients. Patient Type 1 (Low Priority): These are types of patients that are of low priority and are normally treated by either the Clinical Nurses (CN) or the General Practitioners (GP). These patients arrive at the hospital with a rate Expo (15) min. They are seen by the admission officer, registered and sent to the Triage station. The registration follows POIS distribution with the following parameter (8) minutes. At the Triage station if a CN is available they are assigned to a nurse and only on special occasions if all the CNs are busy and if a GP is available the patient will be seen by the GP for assessment. If there are no Triage staff available, the patients wait in the waiting area. This area has a maximum capacity of 20 people (i.e. if the number in the queue behind the Triage is more than 20 the patient leaves the hospital). Report on the record of several patients who leave the medical centre without being attended to. Patients that arrive during the break of the Admissions officer leave the system (record the number and report on this number of patients leaving due to admissions being closed).

Task 3
Kasper is a trustee of the Lantry Charitable Trust. In February 2019, he draws £10,000 of the trust’s money (in breach of the trust) and pays it into his own bank account in which he already has £10,000 of his own money. A month later, he bought shares for £7,000 using money from his account. A week later he withdrew £7,000 and bought a car. The next month, he withdraws £5,000 which he gives to his son Ben to use as a deposit on an apartment he is buying. Realising he is about to be declared bankrupt, Kasper transfers the shares to his daughter, Julia. They are now worth £8,000. On the day he is declared bankrupt, Kasper writes off his car in an accident.

You are required to:
● Advise the beneficiaries of the Lantry Charitable Trust on their position.
● Advise the son and daughter on the gifts made to them. In your answers, you must:
● Analyse the impact of illegality on legal presumptions. (AC2.3)
● Evaluate conditions for tracing in law and in equity. (AC4.1)
● Appraise the application of the change of position defense. (AC4.2)

Task 4 
Aziz works for Mobapps Limited, producing apps for mobile telephones. He is on a three-year contract to develop new apps, which requires him not to work for any other app or software development companies during his contract and six months after the end of his contract. One year into his contract, Aziz accepts a job with Comp Software co. who develop bespoke computer software for businesses.

When Aziz leaves, Mobapps finds that all the material relating to the app Aziz was developing has disappeared, and they fear that he will finish and sell the app himself. You are required to advise Mobapps Limited on any equitable remedies it
may have.

In your answer, you must:
