    Travelink Solutions Case Study

Read the case study “Travel Solutions” at the end of Chapter 7 of your textbook, follow the following directions and then respond to the case study questions

A case study is a puzzle to be solved, so before reading and answering the specific questions, develop your proposed solution by following these five steps:

    1. Read the case study to identify the key issues and underlying issues. These issues are the principles and concepts of the course module, which apply to the situation described in the case study.
    2. Record the facts from the case study which are relevant to the principles and concepts of the module. The case may have extraneous information not relevant to the current module. Your ability to differentiate between relevant and irrelevant information is an important aspect of case analysis, as it will inform the focus of your answers.
    3. Describe in some detail the actions that would address or correct the situation.
    4. Consider how you would support your solution with examples from experience or current real-life examples or cases from textbooks.
    5. Complete this initial analysis and then read the discussion questions. Typically, you will already have the answers to the questions but with a broader consideration. At this point, you can add the details and/or analytical tools required to solve the case.

    Case Study Questions:

    1. What is your assessment of the situation at Travelink at the end of the case? What are the underlying problems in the organization?
    2. If you found yourself in Will or Robert’s situation, what would you do? Why?
    3. If Will and Robert both decide to stay and try to advance needed changes, what changes would you recommend they focus on and how would you recommend they go about it? Would you, for example, share Will’s documentation of the problems within the company? Why or why not?
    4. Have you ever been in a situation where you were a recipient of change and things went poorly? How did it affect you and others in the organization?

Your well-written paper should meet the following requirements:

    • Be 4-5 pages in length, which does not include the title and reference pages, which are never a part of the content minimum requirements.
    • Use Saudi Electronic University academic writing standards and APA style guidelines.
    • Support your submission with course material concepts, principles, and theories from the textbook (Find here) and at least three scholarly, peer-reviewed journal articles.
    • It is strongly encouraged that you submit all assignments into the Turnitin Originality Check prior to submitting it to your instructor for grading. If you are unsure how to submit an assignment into the Originality Check tool, review the Turnitin Originality Check – Student Guide for step-by-step instructions.
    • Review the grading rubric to see how you will be graded for this assignment.

This folder contains the electronic version of worksheet one and nine in WORD format and the dropbox to submit the assignment. If you cannot access them electronically, simply access the worksheets in your book and answer the questions and submit as an attachment or in the reply box.

Open worksheets 1 and 9 supplied electronically in the Assignment Folder. If you do not have the 2007 version of MSWord you may not be able to access them. However, these forms are simply the electronic version of the forms. The disk that comes with the book will also have these forms.

For Module 1, you have a two-part assignment:

    1) Complete worksheet 9 first, describing your organization. If you are not working for an organization, you identify an existing non-profit organization and ‘act’ as though you work for them as a grant writer or CEO.

    2) Next, complete worksheet 1. List at least two, and up to four projects that you personally or your organization are working on or are interested in pursuing. Analyze each project and use this as a foundation for which one or more you want to move forward with. One of these will be the project you select for your course exercises. However, currently keep your options open as you progress through the course, you may change your mind several times as to which project to concentrate on in each exercise.

Fill in the information on the documents and SAVE as your last name and first name and worksheet 1 or worksheet 9 Feel free to abbreviate (for example, AfienkoWrkst1). Submit both attachments in only ONE submission in this dropbox.

All worksheets and written submissions NEED to contain great amount of details where appropriate. One or two sentence responses in worksheets will likely result in a poor grade, so include lots of details.

    CONSTITUTIONALISM ANDAMERICANPUBLICPOLICYASSIGNMENT

    INSTRUCTIONS
    OVERVIEW
Every public policy debate and decision in American politics has roots in the legal and political
thought that shaped, and has been shaped by, the United States Constitution. As you are in the
early stages of a doctoral program in public policy, it is essential for you to develop a knowledge
of the literature relevant to debates in the public policy area on which you intend to focus. For
this reason, it will be valuable for you to know and reflect on the most important literature
regarding the constitutional powers and institutions that govern debate in the public policy area
    you intend to research.
This assignment asks you to incorporate assigned readings you
have compiled in your previous Annotated Bibliography Assignment for this course into a
paper that explains how the public policy area you intend to research continues to be influenced
by our nation’s Constitution, constitutional culture, or the principles of constitutionalism. You
may address questions including, but not limited to: 1) how a particular public policy is informed
by the debates or intent of the Constitution’s framers; 2) what issues related to constitutional
institutions or structure are relevant to public policies in your area of interest and how; 3) what
tensions exist between America’s particular constitutional culture and modern notions of
constitutionalism as evidenced in your area of interest.
Note: If you have questions about how to proceed, contact your instructor as soon as possible.
Every paper should begin with an introductory paragraph that clearly and concisely states the
purpose and significance of the paper. The introductory paragraph should end with a clear thesis
sentence that encapsulates your argument. The body of your paper should be tightly tied to your
thesis sentence, solidly grounded in assigned primary source documents, and supplemented by
secondary literature included from your Annotated Bibliography Assignment. It should explain
and evaluate ways in which our nation’s Constitution or constitutional culture continues to
remain relevant to current public policy debates. The concluding paragraph should sum up your
argument and indicate how it is relevant to future public policy research and/or advocacy.
If you plan carefully, this paper can contribute to the Introduction and/or Literature Review
sections of your dissertation and can help ground your study in concrete issues in the history of
    American political thought or practice.
    INSTRUCTIONS
Assignment should be 8-9 pages in length, not counting Title Page or References section.
Assignment should be written in current APA format.
Assignment should include citations of at least three relevant primary sources, and from
at least ten additional secondary sources (books from university or academic presses, or
peer-reviewed articles from journals in relevant disciplines).
Note: Your assignment will be checked for originality via the Turnitin plagiarism tool.

this essay project will enable you to gather and analyze sources on the creation and relevance of American institutions on enslavement, policing, forced labor post-Civil War, and the convict leasing system to African Americans.

In this essay project, address the following questions:

    1. In what ways did the US Constitution define, legitimize, and sanction enslavement?
    2. Who are some of the individuals, institutions, organizations and/or historical events responsible for maintaining enslavement?
    3. The systemic and violent oppression of African Americans continued after the Civil War. What was the nature of that oppression and how was it similar to pre-Civil War forms of oppression?
    4. What is the topic of your position paper (highlight in yellow)? In what ways do your responses to these questions relate to your position paper topic?

    Guidelines

In this assignment, you must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the African American experience with the American justice system as a systematic, dynamic, oppressive and unfolding process. Additionally, you must explain the impact of enslavement and the criminal justice system on African Americans and society.

This is achieved by providing a critical analysis of the topics and provide MULTIPLE in-text citations. Your citations should come from no less than 10 of the readings assigned thus far. This DOES NOT necessarily mean only 10 citations. It means you must utilize at least ten class sources. You must properly cite all of your sources (class readings).

The paper (not including a cover page and work cited) should be a minimum of 1000 words (approximately 4 pages) in length, double spaced. The 1000 word minimum can be achieved by answering each question in no less than 250 words.

Once submitted, your assignment will be evaluated by Turnitin® automatically. You will be able to view an Originality Report within minutes of your submission that will show how much of your work has been identified as similar to other sources such as websites, textbooks, or other student papers.

Read the Writing Assignment Rubric to understand expectations for this assignment. Keep the following points in mind:

    • The paper reflects the student’s original thought, focused on a central point or idea.
    • The writing reflects an understanding of key concepts and a high level of synthesis and critical thinking.
    • The argument is coherent and each point is well-developed and balanced.
