Feedback Form ENGL 1010 Feedback Form must be filled out by one

Feedback Form ENGL 1010

Feedback Form must be filled out by one of the following methods:

Visiting a writing tutor/documenting writing tutor visit

Peer review

Self-reflection

To fulfill this requirement, the form must be completed and submitted in the appropriate Writing Activity drop box, along with the Writing Activity.

Instructions:

Complete the module’s Writing Activity (WA)

Choose one of the following options:

Visit a writing tutor (in-person or online) students fill out Feedback Form

Peer review with a trusted friend, fellow classmate, and/or someone you trust to give you an honest critique of your work

Self-reflection: fill out the form yourself, along with the extra sections labeled Self-Reflection

You need to fill out the regular form AND the self-reflection section. Both must be completed for full credit.

In order to gain full points, answers must be between 3-4 complete sentences.

Note: A visit to a writing tutor is a valuable step in your writing process. The goal of the visit is to get insight into your specific piece of writing. In addition, tutors assist as many students as possible. Because of this, you will need to fill out the writing tutor form yourself. The goal is to help as many students as possible with their writing, not fill out the assignment form. The act of filling it out yourself adds another layer of revision.

If a writing tutor gives you some form, either digital or a physical copy, from your visit, you may use that form in lieu of the official form. Just be sure to upload it with your proper assignment. If there is official proof of your visit, it will count. However, the excuse of “I forgot” or “they forgot” will not be taken. In this case, fill out the form yourself.

Please use this form to help write your final draft of the essay. The feedback given on this form, along with other feedback by the writing tutor and/or a peer will help you find flaws and areas to improve with your writing. When self-reflecting on your essay, please be honest. Honesty will help you grow in your writing ability. Remember, writing is a process. This is just a part of that process.

Note: Tutor visits, peer review, and self-reflection are not a substitute for further revisions of your finished assignment. In addition, continued rough drafts, peer reviews, and/or instructor feedback of these drafts will only further help you in your writing process. Remember, drafting and revision are part of the completion of a finished writing assignment.
