Summative Assessment: Agency Budget Proposal A chief financial officer (CFO) is responsible for overall financial management in justice or security. The CFO oversees disbursements, accountability processes, and operational planning, budgeting, and analysis. STEP 1: Imagine you are the CFO for criminal justice or a private security agency in your home state. You are tasked with developing and presenting an operating budget proposal to your agency director. Your starting point for the operating budget is the current year. You will then build an operating budget for the next year. STEP 2: Select a state, local criminal justice, or security agency from your home state. STEP 3: Research the most recent budget for that agency. Use the resource at the end of the assignment as an example of an operating budget and how to search for one online. IHP 330 Final Project Guidelines and Rubric Overview Epidemiology is the science public health practitioners use to study the patterns, causes, and effects of health conditions in defined populations. Public health practitioners rely on epidemiology to understand the risks and protective factors associated with health conditions, and to identify health disparities and specific populations at risk for disease. Studies in epidemiology inform the development of public health policy and targeted interventions to prevent disease and reduce health disparities. For your final project, you will complete an epidemiological research study report based on the provided research study found in the Module Seven Reading and Resources page. Epidemiologists in the field often must develop recommendations to address specific health issues, and part of that process is analyzing what other communities and epidemiologists have already done to address the issues. In your epidemiological research study report, you will analyze a health issue, the population impacted, and the prevention strategies used. You will then develop a research question and determine an appropriate research design to further investigate the issue. The final project is divided into two milestones, which will be submitted at various points throughout the course to scaffold learning and ensure quality final submissions. As a senior corporate paralegal, Denny always has access to confidential information regarding the price of stock of those corporations, as well as the business deals those corporations are considering. As a result of knowledge gained about an upcoming merger of two of the corporations represented by the firm, Denny buys stock in those corporations. Because of his financial interest in those corporations, Denny spends most of his time doing work for them, while neglecting the others.
Is it ethically permissible for Denny to purchase stock in these corporations?

Perry has been working as a domestic relations paralegal for three years for the same firm. Following the death of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in 1968, Jane Elliot struggled with how to teach the detrimental effects of discrimination to her 3rd-grade class in rural Iowa. In 1970, she embarked on the Blue Eyes/Brown Eyes experiment, in which she hoped to instill in these young students a sense of the power of inequality and prejudice to hurt and divide. Footage of the experiment was first broadcast in 1970 as an ABC documentary, “The Eye of the Storm.” Later, in 1985, it aired as a Frontline episode entitled, “A Class Divided,” which included follow-up interviews with the grown children from Elliot’s 3rd-grade class.
