Prepare a 10 MINUTE (maximum) Individual Poster [PowerPoint] Presentation with embedded Audio Recording to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of key Sustainability and Green Logistics theories and concepts through critical argument, analyses, and evaluation.

Your Individual Poster [PowerPoint] Presentation with embedded Audio Recording should identify a logistic practice that in your view creates significant negative environmental and/or socio- economic impacts. You may observe the practice related to a specific product / group of products, or even related to a specific geographical location.

Within your Individual Poster [PowerPoint] Presentation with embedded Audio Recording, you should identify and justify ways to improve the sustainability performance of the logistics practice through critical argument, analyses, and evaluation, and the application of knowledge of sustainability, circular economy, and current and future trends of global and city logistics.

NB (1): for your Individual Poster [PowerPoint] Presentation with embedded Audio Recording, you are encouraged to explore case studies similar to what are introduced during the module.

NB (2): it is your responsibility to keep a record of how you have developed your assignment as you progress through to submission. Appropriate evidence could include: version-controlled documents, developmental sketchbooks, or journals for example. This evidence can be called upon, through an Interview or Viva (see student guide), if academic misconduct is suspected.

Assignment Guidance:

  1. the overall grade will be influenced by the application of key Sustainable and Green logistics concepts, as well as clarity and justification of ideas presented in the poster
  2.  a basic poster which meets the module’s intended learning outcomes with basic referencing and obvious justifications will earn a pass grade of 40/100 (40%) or above
  3.  a pass grade of 50/100 (50%) will contain an adequate level of application and understanding of Sustainable and Green logistics with adequate justification
  4. a pass grade of 60/100 (60%) and above will contain a good level of application and appreciation of
    Sustainable & Green logistics and be well applied with good justification
  5. a pass grade of 70/100 (70%) and above will demonstrate a level of excellence of application and appreciation of Sustainable and Green logistics and be well applied with excellent justification
  6.  To present your assignment, you should develop and create a PowerPoint Infographic Presentation
    of no more than four slides:

    a)  the first slide should state the Title of your infographic along with your Name, SID, and declaration; and,
    b)    the second slide should be your infographic, and related to the assignment task above; then,
    c)    the third slide should include a references list of the [credible] sources of your presentation (use the APA-7th referencing system); and,
    d)    the fourth slide should be for your commentary / embedded audio recording, and depicted use of AI (see appropriate use of AI section below)

  2. Build enhanced knowledge of developing sustainable freight transport systems through appropriate selection of transport modes, fuel types and vehicle technologies; and critically select and apply appropriate carbon auditing tools for life-cycle and scenario analyses.
  3. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the circular economy concept and critically appraise the most appropriate technological and engineering methods to recover energy and value from waste in an environmentally and socially responsible manner.
  4. Identify and justify best practices of sustainable city logistics strategies and apply the principles of sustainable development for decision making and the formulation of practical supply chain solutions for industry and society
